In the state of Michigan, citizens can elect to have increased taxes to cover specific projects. Over 100 lakes in Michigan have chosen to have a Special Assessment District ... where every lake property owner pays extra taxes to cover the cost to restore their lakes. We are proposing a Special Assessment District for all property owners on Paw Paw Lake to fund its restoration.
